This class is a perfect place for a beginner or for someone who wants to learn new stitches and tricks of embroidery. Olivia is a creative artist who has taken embroidery to the next level. She will teach the group how she designs, begins and finishes off her pieces and will leave you with new skills to complete your own in the future.

In this beginner level class, you will learn the basics of embroidery, no previous experience required. Supplies will be provided and Olivia will walk you through an embroidery pattern while teaching you back-stitch, satin stitch, and detached chain stitch. She will share tips, tricks, and her personal favorite ways to utilize these basic stitches in projects. This class will get you well on the way to finishing your very own embroidered plant terrarium piece. 

Olivia Montoya, Seattle native, artist and owner of Koe-Zee. Specializes in fiber arts, with a focus on embroidery, cross stitch and sewn goods. Her designs are inspired by plant life, pop-culture, and the feminist experience.
