Japanese Whiskey Education and Tasting

Japanese whiskey is one of the trendiest and most hotly collected whisk(e)y categories today. But scarcity and a lack of access mean many people never really get to explore the category.

Did you know whisky has been expertly made in Japan for almost a century? Largely crafted in the Scottish tradition (but often with a lighter, more elegant touch), and featured in movies like “Lost in Translation,” it has a long history, but has only recently expanded in any significant way into the U.S.

In this “Happy Hour” format, we’ll enjoy a traditional highball cocktail, learn a thing or two about what makes Japanese whiskies distinct, and taste through a handful of rare and unusual aged and non-aged expressions.

Must be 21+ with ID, please be prepared to take time after the class before driving or have an alternate route home. Small bites, water, and a non-alcoholic beverage option will be available.
