A CREATIVE WAY WORKSHOP WILL FOCUS ON THE FOUNDATIONS OF DRAWING AND WATERCOLOR. COME EXPLORE THIS ART FORM WITH A GROUP OF FELLOW CREATIVES.
THE ONLY REQUIREMENT IS THE DESIRE TO CREATE.
JOIN SARAH AND THE CREATIVE TEAM FROM STUDIOLIFE (BROOKE AND KRISTI) FOR A TIME TO LEARN, ASK QUESTIONS, DRAW & PAINT. IN ADDITION TO THREE DAYS OF ‘ARTING’ WITH SARAH SIMON, THEMINTGARDENER, THIS WILL BE AN UNFORGETTABLE TIME OF CONNECTION AND COMMUNITY IN A BEAUTIFUL PLACE THAT INSPIRES CREATIVITY. THERE WILL BE GOOD FOOD, BEAUTIFUL ART SUPPLIES AND TIME TO SETTLE IN AND BE CREATIVE.

A Creative Way is designed for individuals who are wanting to step into a journey of exploring watercolor, forwarding their foundational skillsets in drawing and painting. The beautiful opportunity in this retreat setting allows your mind and body to be immersed in a new setting, a creative rhythm and encouraging community for a few days. It invites a special settling that only dedicated creating time can.
This retreat is an opportunity to learn Sarah’s watercolor techniques, work on guided projects and develop a lasting creative practice of your own. Sarah will teach, as well as share about her own artistic development, and her specific processes in her creative practice as well. The watercolor sessions will include brush techniques, color mixing, composition, still life, sketching and more.
Our hope is that you will explore and develop your own style, connect with other creatives on this journey with you and have the satisfying experience of creating in a beautiful place, with delicious meals, conversation and beauty all around.
Being with like-minded creatives fosters a sense of community and allows for a deepening of relationships, new and old.

The “Early Bird” cost of A Creative Way Flowertown is $3,250 (includes the $500 non-refundable deposit) if the deposit received by November 30, 2025. Regular price for the retreat (registration on or after December 1) is $3,750 (includes deposit).
Secure a spot to the retreat with a non-refundable deposit of $500. Payment links for remaining balance will be sent to you by Brooke & Kristi at StudioLife. The remaining balance can be paid in two payments by January 15th 2026 and February 15th 2026.

The retreat begins with a lovely welcome dinner on Tuesday, April 7 from 6-8pm. April 8, 9 & 10 will be full days of painting and studio time and with Sarah ending with a farewell dinner on Friday, April 10.

Transportation and lodging are not included in the ticket price for the retreat. Both transportation and lodging will be the responsibility of the attendee, both to Summerville, throughout the retreat, except for retreat related outings.
Once registered, you will receive more information, including recommended accommodations to choose from. -
Due to the highly creative and collaborative coordination that events like this require ahead of time, the Hosts cannot offer refunds.
The deposit and retreat payments are non-refundable. Should the participant be unable to make the event, the participant can gift their ticket to a friend! The participant can make arrangements and notify the host team. The participant may also choose to defer the non-refundable deposit to another A Creative Way retreat within one calendar year.
